Deadline for Submitting Carbon Reduction Plan

By April 2024, suppliers engaging in NHS contracts exceeding £5 million annually will be required to publish a Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP) encompassing scope 1, 2, and pertinent scope 3 emissions. This aligns with the UK government's Procurement Policy Note 06/21 aimed at addressing climate change through public procurement. Additionally, by this deadline, CRP obligations will extend to all new frameworks managed by Major NHS framework owners, including Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Moreover, Net Zero commitments will be obligatory for all NHS procurements.
